Good afternoon Parents,

You will get another email from me tomorrow around practice next week but wanted to send out information around in-person officials training. 

I want to say "Thank you" in advance to all of those parents who are willing to put in the additional effort to become an official (meet referee, stroke/turn judge or starter). Many of those on our board are certified as judges and starters and they will tell you it is "the best seat in the house". 

Please consider taking the opportunity to attend one of the below in-person trainings as it is required along with the online training. This is one of the positions that we absolutely need as unlike nearly any other position you can only plug in another certified and trained official if someone doesn't show up.

Official Training

Officials will train to identify stroke, touch, and turn infractions and to effectively run and officiate the meet. This requires an annual certification. The 2026 certification will only be valid during the 2026 season. In order to obtain the 2026 certification, the following course must be completed:
