Evan has more than a decade of coaching experience, is currently the head coach for Episcopal High School Swim Team; previously a U.S.A. swim coach for First Colony Swim Team, and teams in the Chicago area. Having served as Head Coach since 2014, Evan will continue to bring his energy and a proven record of successful coaching to our Gators. We are very happy to welcome Coach Evan back to our team for another great season!
Sarah is in her third season with the gators and is looking forward to helping our swimmers get faster and make memories! Sarah was a swimmer and runner growing up and ran track and cross country at Texas Tech University. She currently working as a 4th grade teacher in Katy. Go Gators!
Josh has swam since he was 7 years old in WHAT swim team and later switched to Katy aquatics. He was a varsity swimmer at Seven Lakes High School as well as a soccer player there too. Josh is a swim instructor at lifetime and of course a coach for Grand Lakes. He does private lessons throughout the summer and on weekends during the school year. This is his forth year coaching and he has enjoyed every second of it. Josh loves working with kids and teaching them something he knows so much about. His goal is to improve each swimmer in even the slightest details and provide a fun atmosphere for them at the pool everyday. He looks forward to a great season with all the parents and swimmers.
Richard is a Senior at Seven Lakes and has been on Grand Lakes for 7 years. He is excited to be coaching again this year! Richard is an active member of his school choir and is an Eagle Scout. He loves reading and writing in his free time. His favorite stroke is Freestyle.
Becca Chang is a Senior at Seven Lakes High School, on the Varsity volleyball team and plays club volleyball at Katy United. Becca has been swimming with Grand Lakes Swim Team since she was 4 years old and is excited to continue her position as an Assistant Coach this year. She serves the local community through the Star chapter of NCL and especially loves her work with CAPS. Her favorite stroke is freestyle and she looks forward to helping all the swimmers again this summer.
Daniel is finishing up his Junior year at Seven Lakes High School. He has been swimming since he was 5 in the WHALe league and since he was 10 at Grand Lakes where he has been a 'Gator-aide' for 2 seasons and a Junior Coach last season. He has been a swimmer for Dad's Club, Power Aquatics and the Seven Lakes High School swim team as well as the school Robotics team and Engineering Society. Daniel enjoys being a camp counselor at a summer camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes and this will be his forth summer to do this.
Daniel is looking forward to working with the team again as an Assistant Coach this summer.
