Josh has swam since he was 7 years old in WHAT swim team and later switched to Katy aquatics. He was a varsity swimmer at Seven Lakes High School as well as a soccer player there too. Josh is a swim instructor at lifetime and of course a coach for Grand Lakes. He does private lessons throughout the summer and on weekends during the school year. This will be his fifth year coaching and he has enjoyed every second of it. Josh loves working with kids and teaching them something he knows so much about. His goal is to improve each swimmer in even the slightest details and provide a fun atmosphere for them at the pool everyday. He looks forward to a great season with all the parents and swimmers.
Jacobey will be attending Texas A&M in the fall to study engineering. He has been a Gator since he was seven. He loves to swim and in his free time he enjoys working out and spending time with his friends. His favorite stroke is Butterfly.
Raegen is a student athlete at Illinois State University! She has been swimming for over 10 years, 5 of those years as a GL Gator. She also trained for 9 years with Katy Aquatics and swam on the Seven Lakes High School Varsity team. She is very excited to be an assistant coach and can’t wait to help each swimmer feel comfortable and confident in the water! She loves working stroke technique and enjoys sharing her knowledge with any level swimmers whether beginner or more advanced.
Coach Matt has been swimming for Grand Lakes since he was 5 years old. He is a proud varsity member of the Seven Lakes High School swim team. During his high school career he was a district finalist and regional competitor in both Breast Stroke and Butterfly and obtained Sectional Times in his favorite, the Breast Stroke. He swam for Power Aquatics for three years and most recently for Katy Aquatics. He will be attending Colorado School of Mines in the fall as a Grewcock Scholar. He’s looking forward to this first season as a coach after many summers of “GatorAid”ing and giving private lessons. His favorite place to be is in the water and he’s looking forward to meeting all the swimmers and helping them improve. Go Gators!
