Hello Parents,

I wanted to take some time to recognize Richard Powell and Dean Haefner for their support of the Grand Lakes Swim Team. Richard and Dean take the time every season to meet with the swim team to ensure everything is ready to go for the team to have a wonderful season. This year has been particularly challenging due to Fort Bend County implementing a pool operating permit requirement. Richard and Dean personally went around with the inspector to ensure our pools would pass and the team could swim. This same level of support has not been provided for a few other teams in the league and their seasons have been delayed.  Additionally, the leadership team at Sweetwater pools has been exceptional in handling whatever issues have come up prior to opening the pool. I have invited all of them to swing by the pool for dinner on the Gators during the blue green meet.
